A bookshelf that defies weight and obeys gravity, suspended between balance and illusion, where books float, lean, and never fall.

Ø Gravity is a self-supporting bookshelf that challenges conventions of form and balance. Its apparent instability hides a precise inner logic — a tensile system where dry joints, tempered glass, and Saint Andrew’s Cross cables combine to create multi-directional stability.
With no screws, no glue, and no fixed hierarchy, the structure stands in a state of suspended clarity — a delicate equilibrium between gravity and intention.
Books are held not in rigid alignment, but by the natural force of the Earth itself. Tilt the shelves, and gravity becomes a quiet ally: keeping volumes gently leaning, perfectly still, without the need for bookends.
The carved wooden sides evoke the textured crusts of planets or meteorites, while dichroic steel tie rods shimmer with aerospace tones — making Ø Gravity feel less like a bookshelf and more like a satellite in orbit: weightless, precise, and poised in timeless suspension.
It is not simply a piece of furniture, but a spatial gesture, a sculptural system where materials speak, gravity listens, and lightness becomes structure.

Three mossy planks, barely touching, in a quiet defiance of gravity where structure vanishes, and lightness becomes a forest poised in air.

Woodpile Shelving is a sculptural structure composed of three moss-edged planks recovered from the undergrowth of the Dolomite forest. Stripped to its bare essence, it balances tension and transparency in a refined dialogue between apparent fragility and actual strength.
The wooden surfaces seem to hover, held in place by just three slender steel rods that pierce them vertically. Hidden inside the planks, a subtle mechanism locks the rods seamlessly, giving the illusion of a single uninterrupted line and granting the entire piece unexpected stability.
This shelving system echoes the quiet resistance of trees swaying in the wind — weightless yet grounded, minimal yet alive. Its tool-free assembly and visual levity suggest not only function, but a gesture of stillness suspended in space. A forest reimagined as pure equilibrium.
